GIFT SHOP
The Cahill School gift shop contains a variety of merchandise typically used
by children in pioneer Minnesota, including cotton sunbonnets, matching doll
sunbonnets, slates, slate pencils, handmade soap, tin lunch pails, marbles, etc.
The items are for sale during the lunch break. Please prepare your students (and
their parents!) by telling them what’s available and asking that children bring
money in envelopes on which parents indicate which of these items their children
may buy:
- Handmade girls’ sunbonnets ($10) and matching dolly sunbonnets ($5)
- Boys' bandana neckerchiefs ($5)
- Coonskin caps ($10)
- Bags of marbles with instructions ($4.50)
- Bags of jacks ($4)
- Bags of hopscotch materials with instructions ($4.50)
- Old-fashioned slates with slate writer and wiper ($10)
- Slate writers ($1) and cloth slate
