Situated immediately southwest of Minneapolis, Edina’s location is easily accessible to both Minneapolis and St. Paul, as well as to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Freeways and highways near Edina’s well-planned residential sections provide quick and convenient travel routes. Minnesota Highways 100 and 62 intersect Edina, dividing the community into four quadrants. Minnesota Highway 169 and Interstate Highway 494 run adjacent to the City.

  • I-494 & Xerxes Improvement Project

    There's a new metro area project beginning next summer! This new project will reconstruct the Xerxes Avenue Bridge spanning I-494, as well as improve traffic flow by adding a westbound auxiliary lane along portions of the freeway and resurfacing nearby ramps and frontage roads in Edina, Bloomington and Richfield.
