The City of Edina prides itself in providing premier
public facilities. Besides City Hall, located at 4801 W. 50th St., the
City operates a Public Works building, 5146 Eden Ave., and two fire
stations, 6250 Tracy Ave. and 7335 York Ave.
The City also operates nearly 40 parks and recreational facilities,
including Arneson Acres, Braemar Arena, Braemar Golf Courses, Braemar Golf
Dome, Centennial Lakes Park, Edina Aquatic Center, Edina Art Center, Edina
Senior Center, indoor Edinborough Park, Fred Richards Executive Golf Course
and a dozen warming houses.

Outdoor Skating Rinks
The City of Edina’s 11 outdoor ice skating rinks are scheduled to open
Friday, Dec. 18, weather permitting. The 11 ice skating rinks are at Arden,
Cornelia School, Creek Valley, Highlands, Lewis, Normandale, Pamela,
Strachauer, Todd, Walnut Ridge and Weber parks. All locations have warming
houses and hockey rinks. Due to budget cuts, the rink at Countryside Park
will not be opened this year.
Warming
house hours are 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9:30
p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Hours Dec. 18 through Jan. 3 are
noon to 9:30 p.m. daily. Holiday hours are noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 24, noon to 4
p.m. Dec. 31 and noon to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 1. Rinks will be closed Dec. 25.
Some
rinks are reserved for youth hockey practices beginning at 6 p.m. on
weekdays. Some rinks also have youth hockey games on Saturdays and Sundays.
Each rink will have a schedule posted. Rinks are scheduled to remain open
until Feb. 15. For information on ice skating rink conditions, call the Park
